For more than five generations, the Liokareas family has grown, hand-picked, and pressed Koroneiki olives into Greek extra-virgin olive oil on its family-owned orchard in the foothills of Southern Kalamata. The company still uses old-world methods and simple hand tools, while its distinctive Rx high-phenolic oil has earned repeated awards in international health and olive-oil competitions. From its Pittsburgh roots, Liokareas also carries the family’s Greek harvest traditions to customers through specialty oils and pantry goods.
