Established in 1977 by Frank Crimbchin after experience ranging from heavy-metal manufacturing to work on the first lunar camera, Marwood Machine Company builds and fabricates custom machinery and industrial components in Cabot, Pennsylvania. The company is particularly known for rebuilding and retrofitting worn or damaged equipment, while its substantial shop can handle pieces weighing up to 15 tons. Its work has ranged from gas-well bailing rigs to ultra-high-vacuum chambers and very small vacuum-industry screws.
