On Long Island’s North Fork, Mattebella Vineyards is a small family farm and artisanal winery making old-world-style wines from its own vineyard in Southold. Mark and Christine Tobin purchased the property in 2005, and the estate’s 22-acre parcel is tended by hand with sustainable practices and no mechanical harvesting. Its original early-20th-century barn now houses a tasting cottage surrounded by gardens, where visitors can explore the vineyard and its wines.
