Founded in Brooklyn in 1947 by Joseph Berman and his two sons, Mercury Paint is a family-run manufacturer of architectural paints and specialized coatings, now producing more than 1.5 million gallons annually. The fourth-generation company employs nearly 100 people across two distribution facilities and its coatings can be seen on New York landmarks including the Coney Island Cyclone, Citi Field and Yankee Stadium. Mercury remains New York’s largest independent paint manufacturer, with custom formulations ranging from Marathon route paint to coatings designed for temperatures above 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
