Founded by journalist-turned-entrepreneur Brianna Arps, MOODEAUX is a Black woman-owned fragrance label creating unisex perfumes and skin-nurturing scent products built around the connection between fragrance, memory and emotion. Launched in 2021, the indie brand pairs mood-focused self-expression with longer-lasting, skin-conscious formulas and supports fellow Black fragrance entrepreneurs through its Black In Fragrance philanthropic arm. MOODEAUX was the first Black-owned perfume brand to reach both Credo and Urban Outfitters nationwide.

Arm's ReachFounded by Chauncey Brown in 2022, Arm's Reach creates prestige fragrances rooted in Black experience, translating memory, culture, and lived experience into scent. Brown’s background in qualitative research, education, and time spent in Mexico and Ghana informs a community-interview methodology behind the brand’s debut BLACK IV collection. The company describes itself as a fragrance house built from the inside, by and for the Black community.
OUI the PeopleFounded by Karen Young, OUI the People is an independent fragrance and bodycare house creating fine scents rooted in Caribbean memory, ritual, and skin. Raised in Guyana and shaped by Flatbush, Brooklyn, Young draws on those experiences and French perfumery to make intimate, modern fragrances that wear close to the body. Fumum, IncMeghan and Damoon are the Brooklyn-based founders behind Fumum, a fragrance company that began with the couple mixing tiny batches in their apartment. Meghan brings experience as a brand strategist, while Damoon is a self-taught perfumer who has spent ten years developing scents and their visual identity. Fumum builds its fragrances with input from people who smell and test them in everyday life, rather than sorting them into gendered categories or chasing trends.
