Born in 1952 in the Twardzik family kitchen in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, Mrs. T’s Pierogies makes frozen stuffed pasta pockets based on Mary “Mrs. T” Twardzik’s handmade potato-and-cheese recipe. Ted Twardzik started the company with five women making pierogies for local stores, and more than 65 years later his son Tom runs the family business. The company now describes itself as the country’s largest provider of pierogies, including its original classic and newer snack-sized varieties.
