Founded by John Danzer, Munder Skiles makes outdoor furniture shaped by close study of gardens, historic furniture and the way seating belongs in a landscape. Its collections reinterpret archival designs—from a 1834 Paris exhibition chair to South Carolina sleeping-porch forms—using careful engineering, hand-executed joinery and long-standing ateliers to achieve outdoor durability without losing comfort or character. In 2022, Danzer and Munder Skiles received the Arthur Ross Award for Artisanship and Craftsmanship.
