Ohio Penal Industries operates manufacturing and service shops across Ohio correctional institutions, producing goods such as institutional furniture and providing specialized dental lab work. The program trains nearly 1,200 incarcerated adults in practical workplace skills, with the goal of reducing recidivism and improving employment prospects after release. Its table shop has operated at Southeastern Correctional since 2020, while its dental lab serves state and county institutions under the supervision of a Certified Dental Technician.
