Since 1979, ORX has made and overhauled railroad wheel sets and related rail equipment from its 140,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in central Pennsylvania. Founded by Glenn Brandimarte and his father, Benjamin, the company carries forward a railroad tradition that began with Glenn’s grandfather Giulio, a Pennsylvania Railroad foreman who inspected more than 30,000 miles of track. ORX is particularly known for solving specialized wheel and wheel-set challenges, including its long-running maintenance work for San Francisco’s BART transit system.
