Pittsburgh Corning introduced FOAMGLAS® in 1942; Owens Corning acquired Pittsburgh Corning in 2017, and the insulation is now produced at purpose-built factories in Belgium, the Czech Republic, China, and the United States. The company describes the insulation as made with an average of 50% post-consumer recycled glass.
