Founded in West Chester in 1968, Penn-Tech International builds and services communications towers and radomes while manufacturing its signature shunt-type Tension Meter for measuring guy-cable loads without disturbing their anchorages. Now owned by Thomas Hedberg, the company continues to serve military, government and industrial customers, pairing tower expertise with tension-meter sales, calibration and maintenance. Penn-Tech also develops custom support structures and has been a voting member of the National Association of Tower Erectors since 2003.
