With roots reaching back to a 1900 drilling company, family-owned Pennsylvania Drilling Company combines contract drilling with in-house manufacturing for foundation construction. Its McKees Rocks machine shop makes PennDrill casing and tooling, while the Winchester division builds Colcrete grouting equipment; crews also take on environmental and foundation investigations, including difficult-access work. The company introduced the PennDrill line in 1947 and now operates manufacturing divisions in Pennsylvania and Virginia, along with a U.K. division acquired in 2021.
