Since 1972, retired couple Ettamarie and her husband have run Peterson’s Farm just north of Petaluma, raising free-range eggs and pesticide- and herbicide-free produce alongside raw honey extracted from their own hives. The farm’s orchard and bees are closely linked, with the honey bees pollinating its fruit trees, and Ettamarie also volunteers as a swarm catcher for Sonoma County while working with local 4-H youth. Peterson’s Farm is a certified Bee Friendly Farm with an observation hive in its barn.
