Founded by Phil Herman Sr. in 1973, PH Tool Reference Standards manufactures custom nondestructive-testing reference standards and calibration test blocks in Pipersville, Pennsylvania. Its in-house operation includes 40 purpose-built sinker EDM machines and 15 CNC mills, allowing the company to produce everything from fine EDM notches to standards weighing more than five tons. PH Tool also recertifies standards made by other manufacturers and maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification with NIST-traceable inspection.
