Founded in 1947 by Theodore Paul, Pittsburgh Electrical Insulation is a Pittsburgh-area electrical insulation manufacturer whose history includes developing the patented fiberglass armature banding tape that became a global standard for DC equipment. The company has since grown from a distributor into a manufacturer and converter serving OEM and repair customers, with U.S.-based production expanded through its 2020 acquisition of Fibertek’s electrical products division.
