Founded in 1969 to keep American manufacturers from sending rolls overseas for precision work, Precision Roll Grinders specializes exclusively in grinding and servicing rolls and cylindrical shafts. Its four purpose-built facilities handle components up to 240,000 pounds and 600 feet long, with tolerances as fine as 20 millionths of an inch. PRG also uses proprietary hot-grinding and mapping methods for high-temperature rolls, helping production lines run with less variation and downtime.
