Founded in 1983 as a local torque-converter rebuilder, ProTorque now manufactures custom performance torque converters through its in-house R&D and production operation. A division of Boninfante Friction since 2020, the company develops converters for applications ranging from street cars to professional drag-racing machines, matching each unit to the engine and vehicle combination rather than relying on stall speed alone. Its American-made products have helped drag racers set records and win championships, including in NHRA competition.
