Qual Chem, created in 2004 by Akron car wash operators Joseph Moldovan and Claudia Moldovan Crea, makes customizable chemistry for car washes. Its signature Cleaning System³ separates the foaming agent from high- and low-pH additives, giving operators control over cleaning strength, foam, color and fragrance instead of locking them into one-drum formulas. The privately owned, family-run company supplies operators across the United States and Europe with readily biodegradable, reclaim-friendly products made without hydrofluoric acid, NPEs or PFAS.
