Founded by Pennsylvania natives Kieran and Kristie Robinson in 2018, R Five Wines makes limited-production California wines in Sonoma Valley and brings them to its Downingtown tasting room. Kieran’s winemaking path runs from the Finger Lakes and Philadelphia countryside through France’s Northern Rhône, Napa’s Cakebread Cellars and Sonoma, where the couple’s wines remain rooted in Rhône varieties. The Downingtown space pairs the wines with seasonal food from the Sweet Amelia’s team, making R Five a distinctly bicoastal winery and wine bar.
