Founded in 1937 by inventor Renard P. Adams, R.P. Adams has built its identity around solving industrial equipment problems from its Tonawanda, New York plant. The company employs more than 50 people in a 60,000-square-foot facility where design and manufacturing are handled in-house, a setup that supports custom engineering and unusually long-lived equipment. Its history includes developing the first multi-element automatic backwash strainer patented in the United States, and some of its products remain in service for 50 years or more.
