Since 1994, privately owned Reha-Stim Medtec AG has developed and manufactured robotic gait-rehabilitation systems and medical treadmills for clinical, outpatient, and research use. The Swiss company is best known for combining its pioneer end-effector Gait Trainer GT II with the FLOAT, a four-cable robotic system that lets therapists safely recreate three-dimensional, everyday movement. Its development work is shaped by collaboration with institutions including Balgrist Research Campus Zurich, the University of Basel, and the University of Utah, and the company achieved full EU MDR certification in 2024.
