Family-owned Rye Beach Pharmacy has served its Rye neighborhood since Dan GiaQuinto bought the business in 1946, when it was the smallest of four local pharmacies and open only in summer. Now the only independent pharmacy remaining in Rye, it is known for patient counseling and a longstanding focus on individualized care, including compounded medications for people and pets. Its 50-plus employees work from a distinctive 5,000-square-foot, three-floor site whose 1974 structure received architectural awards.
