Built from a family dairy-farm understanding of feed quality, Sheppard Grain Enterprises has served the animal-feed industry for more than 35 years by roasting high-oleic soybeans, mechanically processing soybean meal and brokering organic commodities. Founded by Steve Sheppard in 1980, the Phelps, New York, company combines computerized processing with its own trucking fleet and rail siding to supply customers across the United States and Canada. Its organic expansion includes NOFA-NY certification, held alongside a long-standing Farm Bureau membership dating to 1982.
