Founded by brothers Luke and Neil Markey, ShieldCo Art turns logos and custom designs into dimensional metal signs and artwork from its Frederick, Maryland, shop. The Markeys grew up alongside their father, a blacksmith whose work includes the front gates of the Statue of Liberty, and carried that family metalworking tradition into a modern fabrication business serving customers nationwide. ShieldCo has operated since 2013 and had grown to 14 employees by 2020, with its creations shipped to 46 states.
