Founded by brothers Luke and Neil Markey, ShieldCo Art turns logos and custom designs into dimensional metal signs and artwork from its Frederick, Maryland, shop. The Markeys grew up alongside their father, a blacksmith whose work includes the front gates of the Statue of Liberty, and carried that family metalworking tradition into a modern fabrication business serving customers nationwide. ShieldCo has operated since 2013 and had grown to 14 employees by 2020, with its creations shipped to 46 states.

The Metal PeddlerFrom a backyard shop where Jason began making copper lanterns in 1997, The Metal Peddler has grown into a Western Pennsylvania family- and veteran-owned business making American-made laser-cut metal signs, organizers, and décor. Jason and Danielle incorporated the company in 2006, and their small team still combines hands-on metalworking with modern fiber-laser fabrication, including custom pieces designed with customers. Its work is made from American steel or copper and finished for durable indoor or outdoor use.WEST SUNBURY, PA
