Revived from a shuttered Manitowoc rolling mill, Skana Aluminum Company produces American-made flat-rolled aluminum coil, blanks and sheet for the North American market. Founded in 2010 by Thomas Testwuide Sr. and four partners, the company carries on the lakeshore’s aluminum-making tradition, including the former Mirro cookware mill, and now employs more than 200 people. Its fully integrated operation is especially known for aluminum circles and blanks suited to deep-draw applications, with additional rolling and slitting capacity in West Virginia.
