Founded in 2012 by Jim and Susan Clair, Skysun, LLC develops elevated solar power systems that generate electricity while leaving the land below available for crops, parking, or other uses. Its patented, wire-rope-supported arrays have been tested from New Mexico to the Midwest through partnerships with NASA, Sandia National Laboratories, and the U.S. Department of Energy. Skysun also adapts the system for solar patios and pergolas, including ballasted installations that avoid ground penetrations.
Layr SystemsBased in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, Layr Systems designs, manufactures and supplies integrated systems for elevated outdoor spaces, from raised rooftop floors to custom planters and amenity products.
