Founded in 1958 by climber Yukio Yamai in Japan’s Niigata Prefecture, Snow Peak makes camping equipment and outdoor apparel designed around time spent in nature. The three-generation family company grew from mountaineering gear crafted with Tsubame-Sanjo metalworkers into a car-camping brand, with its Japanese-designed tents and titanium goods reflecting that origin. Snow Peak also builds community through customer camping events and outdoor hospitality, including Snow Peak Way and its U.S. Campfield.
nCamp, LLCFounded by industrial designer and college professor Dan Cuffaro and product development executive John Cunningham, nCamp designs and manufactures compact outdoor cooking gear. The Perry Hall company grew from a question about making a less-bulky wood-burning camp stove and now applies that idea to gear such as its collapsible multi-fuel stove, espresso-style Café and elevated prep surface. Its designs are intended to make real-food cooking outdoors easier without filling the pack.BALTIMORE, MD
