Strategy Milling, launched in 2012 by dental-technician brothers Scott and Don Mappin, manufactures direct-milled dental restorations from digitally designed files, with a particular focus on noble and high-noble gold crowns and bridges. Its Pittsburgh-area operation makes its own alloy pucks and uses industrial Röders mills in a 6,000-square-foot facility, replacing traditional casting steps with a tightly controlled digital workflow. The company says its products are made entirely in the United States and that its external remake rate has remained below 0.5% over more than eleven years of production.
