About

Born from Josh Stuckey’s family experiments with homemade ice cream, Tern Ice Cream designs and makes a craft ice cream maker for producing smooth, dense frozen desserts at home. Drawing on Stuckey’s engineering background, the small team developed a patented fast-freeze bowl that can turn a pint of mix into ice cream in about five minutes, while allowing makers to use less fat and sugar and choose their own ingredients. Tern presents the process as a hands-on family activity as much as a kitchen appliance.
