Founded by Georgia Callis and Damon from a Greek family winemaking tradition, The Urban Winery of Silver Spring makes small-batch wine onsite from locally and regionally sourced grapes. Established as Maryland’s first urban winery, the family-run business brings traditional cellar craft into a Silver Spring gathering place where guests can taste, learn, and even make their own wine.

• R Wine CellarSince 2011, family-owned R Wine Cellar has made handcrafted, small-batch wines at its urban winery in Pittsburgh’s Historic Strip District. The winery blends fruit from California, Pennsylvania, and South America with minimal additives and preservatives, then welcomes guests for customized tastings and other wine experiences.
