Born from a 2015 electrical-fire tragedy, Ting Labs develops the Ting smart sensor and service, which detects hidden electrical hazards before they become home fires. Spun out of Earth Networks in 2017, the Germantown company combines electromagnetic-sensor expertise with AI and a Fire Safety Team that helps customers resolve detected risks. Its network now protects more than 1 million homes and also provides real-time insight into outages and grid safety.
