Since 1991, Trimona has made Bulgarian-style yogurt in the United States, beginning when founder Atanas Valev brought a traditional Bulgarian culture to the country and started in his home kitchen. Today, the company uses live cultures and organic, grass-fed A2A2 whole milk from Amish country in Pennsylvania to make non-strained yogurt and a low-sugar drinkable ayran.
