Founded in 1996 by former Joslyn Hi-Voltage engineer Cecil R. Wristen, Vesco manufactures vacuum switchgear and controls for electric utilities, steelmaking, and renewable-energy applications. The Mogadore company began by refurbishing Joslyn VBM and VBU equipment and now supplies redesigned replacement parts, new switches, and field service for both Vesco and legacy Joslyn systems. Vesco was acquired in 2021 by former Joslyn executives and technical staff and continues to develop patented control designs alongside installation, maintenance, and training services.
Vesco, LLCVesco traces its roots to 1996, when former Joslyn Hi-Voltage engineer Cecil R. Wristen founded Vacuum Electric Switch Co. in response to design improvements he saw in high-voltage vacuum technology. Now owned by former Joslyn executives and technical staff, the Mogadore company builds on that engineering heritage through vacuum switchgear and controls for electric utilities, steelmaking, and renewable-energy applications, while also supporting equipment in the field.AKRON, OH
