About

Born from retinal surgeon Christopher Riemann’s experience with a career-threatening neck injury, VitaPixel is developing a digital slit-lamp system that brings stereoscopic 3D viewing to XR glasses so ophthalmologists can examine patients upright. The Cincinnati-based team combines Riemann’s more than 25 years at the slit lamp with medical-device engineering and ophthalmic clinical experience. VitaPixel remains a pre-market startup; its device is not yet FDA-cleared or available for sale.
