Founded by Dennis Wells, Wells Racing Engines has been building performance engines since 1968 for circle track, drag racing, boats, and street applications. The Duncanville, Texas shop aims to keep its work in-house, combining complete dyno-tuned race engines with detailed machining and component services. Many members of the Wells team have worked alongside Wells for more than a decade.

Ray Barton Racing Engines, IncFor more than four decades, Ray Barton Racing Engines has built high-performance internal-combustion engines, with a particular connection to front-running Chrysler and COPO drag cars. The Robesonia shop handles 99% of its work in-house, from street and restoration engines to NHRA competition builds, and tests every engine it builds on its DTS dynamometer. Hutter PerformanceThe Hutter name comes with a deep racing lineage: Ron Hutter began building engines in 1964, later winning eight national championships with Richie Evans, while the family’s engines powered Dale Earnhardt Jr. to back-to-back titles in 1998 and 1999. Hutter Performance, opened by the family in 2003, applies that competition experience to custom street and race vehicles for individual owners and teams from its Chardon facility.
