Since 1948, Westmoreland County Blind Association has combined a production workplace with services that help people with sight impairments and intellectual or physical disabilities build independence and find meaningful work. Serving Westmoreland and Indiana counties, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit is distinctive for a workforce in which more than 75% of employees are sight-impaired or intellectually challenged, while its document-destruction operation helps fund those programs.
