Founded in 1892, William Tricker, Inc. grows aquatic plants and supplies water-garden goods from its historic Independence, Ohio nursery, carrying on William Tricker’s early work hybridizing water lilies. Known as America’s oldest water garden store, the company propagates water lilies, lotuses and other aquatics in greenhouses on a property listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Today, Cindy Lee owns and manages the business, which also offers aquarium supplies and Gardecor outdoor décor.
