Founded in Brooklyn in 2023 by Australian mechanical engineer, machinist and prototyper Gwylim Johnstone, Wombat NYC grew from his work creating custom solutions for feature films, museums and artists. The small team serves New York City-area designers, fabricators and project teams with made-to-order sheet-metal parts, using an instant online quote process for projects ranging from prototypes to more complex installations. Parts are produced in-house at its Brooklyn facility and can be ready for local customers within a few days.
