About

Founded in 2013 by Penn State researchers, State College’s Xmorphe develops prosthetic systems for people with limb loss, including its flagship passive prosthetic ankle. Formerly known as Impulse Technology, the company has focused on prosthetics since 2017 and applies research in compliant mechanical systems to create practical mobility and rehabilitation technologies. Its newer GoraliPaa SFT prosthetic foot combines vertical loading, active dorsiflexion, and torsion without hydraulics.
