Youngstown Service Shop is a Youngstown-based electrical and mechanical repair company that services motors, generators, switchgear, transformers and related industrial equipment. General Electric opened the shop in 1948, and George W. Rapp and a group of investors purchased it in 1988, retaining nine GE employees as the business changed hands. Today, a 15-person team serves customers across Northeast Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia with in-house and on-site repair, diagnostics and machine-shop capabilities.
