Founded in 1992 as a captive purification facility for a local graphite machine shop, Advanced Carbon Technologies now provides high-temperature purification and produces pyrolytic graphite for demanding industrial applications. Its Topton, Pennsylvania operation has more than 25,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 11 vacuum induction furnaces, supporting projects from exploratory testing through production with rapid turnaround. ACT is part of the GMI Family of Companies, which also provides related graphite machining capabilities.
