Aircapture designs and builds modular Direct Air Capture systems that produce beverage-grade carbon dioxide on customers’ sites, supplying it on demand from the atmosphere rather than through conventional long-distance distribution. Founded by technologist and DAC pioneer Matt Atwood, the company develops its systems in a 12,000-square-foot West Berkeley office and shop, where it focuses on rapid prototyping and in-house production. Its “CO2 as a Service” model is intended to give manufacturers a more local, reliable supply while reducing transportation-related emissions.
