Founded in 2017, AIRCO develops CO₂-to-fuel and chemical technologies along with deployable production systems that make energy where centralized infrastructure cannot be relied on. Its AIRMADE platform supports synthetic aviation fuel and other chemical production, while the company’s MAD Fuel System is built for on-demand fuel production in remote and operationally constrained environments. AIRCO operates a Brooklyn demonstration plant and has established its primary U.S. manufacturing hub in Pennsylvania.

AircaptureAircapture designs and builds modular Direct Air Capture systems that produce beverage-grade carbon dioxide on customers’ sites, supplying it on demand from the atmosphere rather than through conventional long-distance distribution. Founded by technologist and DAC pioneer Matt Atwood, the company develops its systems in a 12,000-square-foot West Berkeley office and shop, where it focuses on rapid prototyping and in-house production. Its “CO2 as a Service” model is intended to give manufacturers a more local, reliable supply while reducing transportation-related emissions.
WATT Fuel CellFounded in 2010, WATT Fuel Cell designs, develops, and manufactures small-scale solid oxide fuel cell systems for reliable power generation at the point of use. After acquiring Pittsburgh Electric Engines in 2014, the company established its SOFC production facility in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, where it uses its proprietary additive manufacturing process. Its products serve residential, remote-power, and recreational applications.MT PLEASANT, PA
Turnover LabsFounded in 2022 by chemical engineer Marissa Beatty, New York City-based Turnover Labs builds durable electrolysis systems that convert industrial waste CO2 into chemical building blocks. Its technology is designed to install within existing chemical-plant operations, giving manufacturers a way to reuse impure emissions rather than rely solely on petroleum feedstocks. The early-stage company is developing its platform from laboratory research pioneered at Columbia University toward industrial-scale deployment.
Dimensional EnergyFounded in Ithaca in 2016, Dimensional Energy licenses catalyst and process technology that turns captured carbon and other waste feedstocks into low-carbon fuels and chemical products. Its DEFT Fischer–Tropsch and reverse water-gas shift technologies are backed by operating data from a Tucson pilot plant and an industrial CO₂ demonstration at a British Columbia cement plant, with support spanning project development through operations. The company also has four issued patents and 12 pending.ITHACA, NY
