Founded in 2012 by scientists working in particulate measurement since the early 1990s, AirPhoton designs and manufactures field-deployable instruments for measuring airborne particulates and trace gases. The Maryland-based company, now part of GRASP Earth, pairs laboratory-level measurement capability with practical deployment in networks and missions including SPARTAN and NASA’s MAIA. Its instruments are built alongside scientific expertise in interpreting particulate and gas measurements, rather than sold as standalone hardware.
