Founded by William Gruen, Ambulatory Monitoring, Inc. (AMI) makes FDA-registered medical devices for long-term monitoring of sleep, activity, vigilance, respiration and other physiological functions in people moving through their everyday environments. For more than 35 years, its Motionlogger actigraphs have been used in clinical and research settings, while its equipment has traveled from medical clinics and NASA missions to the ocean floor and Mount Everest. AMI is now managed by President Thomas Kazlausky, a former vice president and product manager, alongside Vice President Linda Tavolacci, who has worked with the company for nearly 30 years.
