American 4WDFounded in Pittsburgh in 2017 by industrial designer Aaron Pizzuti, American 4WD rebuilds classic Jeeps from rust-free donor vehicles, updating their performance and reliability while preserving their original character. Pizzuti brings nearly a decade designing at Chrysler—including serving as primary inventor and design lead for the Jeep Hurricane concept—along with experience at Nike and a lifelong start in his father’s automotive repair shop. The studio’s work is guided by “practical permanence,” with current projects including Grand Wagoneers and other vintage Jeep builds made to last.
JBA OffroadBorn from an engineer’s effort to fix his own Jeep Liberty suspension, JBA Offroad makes upper control arms for lifted trucks and SUVs at its 16,000-square-foot Souderton, Pennsylvania facility. The company designs, machines, bends and welds its arms in-house, pairing a field-replaceable Max 90 ball joint with patented EZ Lube bushings for off-road articulation and straightforward maintenance.
