Bake Me Treats is the Poland, Ohio bakery founded by hometown baker Gabriele Broker in December 2015. Trained at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and shaped by time in a French patisserie, Broker built the shop around scratch-made treats that bring a carefully finished touch to everyday celebrations.
Janina's Fine DessertsTrained at a four-year culinary school in Poland and seasoned by 15 years at a French bakery in Baltimore, pastry chef Janina Turziak has been baking European desserts and custom wedding cakes at her York bakery and café since 2010. Janina’s small family operation makes its cakes and daily bakery fare from scratch, with custom designs and signature recipes that keep their character over time. Party Cake ShopSince Jack Dolan started Party Cake Shop in 1961, the Brookline bakery has been making fresh cakes, breads, pastries and other baked goods for Pittsburgh. Now owned by Brookline natives Michelle and Zachary Zebrowski, it is known for its Paczki and Burnt Almond torte while carrying on a bakery tradition that began in the building in 1910. La GourmandineFounded by French-born Fabien and Lisanne Moreau, La Gourmandine brings traditional French baking to Pittsburgh through its breads, pastries and cakes. Fabien trained at Paris’s Lenôtre Culinary Institute, and the bakery has grown from its first Lawrenceville shop, opened in 2010, to five Pittsburgh locations with centralized production in Hazelwood.
