Opened by Susan O’Keefe in Croton-on-Hudson in 2010, Baked by Susan is an old-fashioned bakery making scratch baked goods fresh each day. Susan’s Italian and Hungarian family baking traditions still shape the shop, where she works alongside her parents, husband, and three sons and keeps some of her original family recipes in rotation. The bakery is also known for its handmade empanadas, developed from her Chilean mother-in-law’s tradition, and its long run of Best of Westchester awards.
