Born from a love of coffee in 2011, Bent Tree Coffee Roasters is a small-batch artisan roaster in historic downtown Kent, Ohio. It sources high-quality Arabica green beans, roasts them in-house, and serves them fresh at its café, where visitors can watch the weekday roasting process. Bent Tree also operates an annex roastery for wholesale and grocery partners, with organic certification through OEFFA and weekly coffee cupping to monitor quality.

Owners and roastmasters Bob Cowdery and Larry Werges built the company around small-batch roasting, continual sample roasting and cupping, and freshness—an approach that has made its Canandaigua Blend and more than 100 other coffees familiar across the Finger Lakes and Western New York.
