Founded in 1976 by Raymond P. Habib, Bloomsburg Carpet Industries weaves American-made carpets and rugs at its original Pennsylvania mill. Now a third-generation family business with more than 150 employees, including many second- and third-generation weavers, it is the only U.S. mill with Axminster, Velvet, Wilton and Loc-Weave looms under one roof—and the only remaining Axminster mill in the country. Its solar-powered facility supplies its own energy while producing flooring for residential, commercial and hospitality spaces, as well as historically accurate carpets for landmark preservation projects.
